Steelers cancel Paris fan event at Bastille bar after neighborhood disruptions

The distinction between the fan event and the game came a day after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he had a "high comfort level" about the teams playing in Paris. He also said he had spoken with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, AP reported.

Nicki Ewell, the NFL's vice president for global events, told AP that the club made the cancellation decision. She said the NFL distributed the message to fans because the league and the Steelers had promoted the event together. Ewell added that no NFL fan events had been affected.
