Ducks rally from 3-0 down to beat Senators 6-3 in Brossoit's Anaheim debut

The Anaheim Ducks erased a 3-0 first-period deficit to beat the Ottawa Senators 6-3 at Honda Center on Nov. 1. Laurent Brossoit was in goal for his first game with Anaheim.

Anaheim scored six unanswered goals. Four came on the power play, where the Ducks converted five opportunities into four goals, Patrick Present reported for The Hockey News. Brossoit stopped 20 of 23 shots and did not allow a goal after the first period, according to Present. The NHL noted that it was Brossoit's first win since April 18, 2024.

The comeback also reversed a recent pattern for Anaheim. In its previous two games, the Ducks had let multiple-goal leads slip and taken one of four possible standings points, Present reported. Ducks coach Joel Quenneville described the bench after Ottawa's fast start: “It wasn’t a great setting on the bench, but I think everybody hung in there,” .
