The Athletic reports that Verstappen and Lawson tangled during Friday's second practice, making contact in the tight Foro Sol section. It says stewards escalated from their normal formal warning because of similar practice-session incidents this year. Chris Medland quoted the stewards as saying both drivers behaved unacceptably, particularly given a warning at a team managers' meeting earlier that day.
