The 2026 Internet Invitational opens with a tribute to Cody 'Beef' Franke

Golf Digest reports that the Internet Invitational's first 2026 episode opened with a tribute to Cody 'Beef' Franke, who died shortly after winning last year's event. His family announced an award for golf club employees and a foundation seeking to provide scholarships and opportunities in golf course management. With 64 players competing for $4 million, the episode also featured Luke Kwon pitching a tent on the opening green after oversleeping his tee time last year.
