@SportsnetThe Dodgers are a great team, but not the best team in baseball anymore, or even the best in the National League. That honour now goes to the Brewers after a sweep of the back-to-back champs in the NLCS. On Oct. 15, the Milwaukee Brewers completed a sweep of the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers, winning Game 4 of the National League Championship Series 6-4 to reach their first World Series since 1982, Sportsnet reports.

Los Angeles built a 4-0 lead on a Shohei Ohtani home run. Milwaukee rallied, with Jake Bauers driving in two runs on a fourth-inning double. With the score tied 4-4 in the sixth, Garrett Mitchell homered off Tanner Scott to put the Brewers ahead. David Hamilton added a late homer before Aaron Ashby retired Kiké Hernández for the final out, according to Sportsnet.

The sweep ended Los Angeles' pursuit of a third straight championship, a feat no MLB team has accomplished since the 1998-2000 Yankees, Sportsnet notes. USA TODAY's Andrés Soto, citing Spotrac, listed nine Dodgers set for free agency this winter, including Hernández, Miguel Rojas and Tarik Skubal.
