Lisandro Martinez says Manchester United needs to invest more in its first-team squad

After Manchester United’s 2-0 Champions League defeat at Atletico Madrid, Martinez called the loss a “mirror for the club,” The Athletic reports. He said he expects more from technical director Jason Wilcox and that United needs to invest more in its first-team squad to compete at the top level. The Athletic also reports, citing sources, that other players in the dressing room share his view of Wilcox and the club’s approach.
