The Milwaukee Brewers’ 10-1 win over the Tampa Bay Rays in World Series Game 3 on Oct. 26 drew a much smaller reported TV audience than either of the first two games. Manny Soloway at Awful Announcing puts its Fox and Fox Deportes average at 8.44 million viewers. Eric Fisher at Front Office Sports reports 8.33 million, citing industry sources.
Awful Announcing reports that Games 1 and 2 averaged 12.26 million and 10.85 million viewers, respectively. Game 3 aired opposite Monday Night Football, which Awful Announcing reports averaged 18.73 million viewers across ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and NFL Network.
The historical ranking is disputed
Both outlets call Game 3 the fourth-least-watched World Series game, but they disagree about one game below it. Awful Announcing names Games 3 and 4 from 2023 and Game 3 from 2020; Front Office Sports names Games 2 and 3 from 2023 and Game 3 from 2020. An Apple Podcasts episode description instead estimates about 8.3 million viewers and says Game 3 will rank no better than second-least watched, citing an 8.29 million record low.
Historical comparisons have another wrinkle: Awful Announcing notes that Nielsen expanded out-of-home and set-top-box measurement in September 2025, while Front Office Sports also cites later changes to how co-viewing is counted. Both outlets report a preliminary audience of about 13.5 million for Tuesday’s 12-inning Game 4, a higher figure than either reports for Game 3.
