Kansas State makes $12 million settlement with former basketball coach Jerome Tang official

Reporter Pete Thamel said Kansas State made its $12 million settlement with former men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang official on October 5. Thamel had reported that the payment would be made by the end of 2027 and that Tang had been owed $18.7 million after Kansas State attempted to fire him for cause in 2025. Athletic director Gene Taylor said the settlement lets both parties move forward on agreed terms.
