TLDR

On October 10, F1 said rain had delayed the Singapore Grand Prix sprint start and reported standing water around turns 2 and 3. An F1 observer said sections of the track were OK, but even the medical car seemed to aquaplane toward the final sector. F1 later said race control set the formation lap for 17:30 local time; two formation laps behind the safety car were expected as things stood.
