TLDR
John Leuzzi of USA TODAY NETWORK reports that all signs point to Arch Manning starting Texas' Oct. 24 game against Ole Miss after losses to Oklahoma and Florida. Coach Steve Sarkisian called Manning the starter but said he needs better play from him and other offensive players. Leuzzi cites ESPN's report that backup KJ Lacey Jr. would get more first-team reps; Sarkisian said Lacey had not gotten more than usual.
