Kansas State and Jerome Tang reportedly finalizing $12 million settlement

Pete Thamel reports, citing sources, that Kansas State and former men’s basketball coach Jerome Tang are finalizing a $12 million settlement, with payments through the end of 2027. Thamel says Kansas State tried to fire Tang for cause in 2025, when he was owed $18.7 million. Tang, now Baylor’s associate head coach, did not file suit and was under contract through the 2030–31 season.
