NBA and prominent sportsbooks agree to ban several types of bets

Shams Charania and David Purdum report that the NBA and prominent sportsbooks agreed to ban parlays involving unders on the same player’s stats, “first of” wagers and unders on players expected to play less than 12 minutes a game. Charania says the move follows talks with major gaming companies after recent betting scandals and adds to earlier restrictions on bets involving 10-day or two-way contract players, turnover props, fouls and missed free throws.
