Harry Kane praises José Mourinho for giving him freedom on the pitch

In comments shared by MadridXtra and attributed to Marca, Kane credits Mourinho with letting him drop deep, receive the ball and play his own game. He praises Mourinho’s understanding of tactics and match situations, saying he has “a huge amount of respect for him.” Separately, TouchlineX claimed on September 18, 2026, that Kane was the highest-scoring player from Europe’s top five leagues across all competitions since joining Bayern Munich in 2023. Its tally listed Kane at 150 goals, Kylian Mbappé at 137 and Erling Haaland at 114.
