Fifa Laopakdee wins back-to-back Asia-Pacific Amateur Championships
Laopakdee joins Hideki Matsuyama as the only back-to-back Asia-Pacific Amateur champions and earns a 2027 Masters invitation.
TLDR
Fifa Laopakdee finished three shots ahead of Zack Swanwick at Te Arai Links, becoming the second golfer after Hideki Matsuyama to win consecutive Asia-Pacific Amateur titles. The Arizona State senior is set to receive a 2027 Masters invitation and is exempt into the 155th British Open at St. Andrews. He described the second title as more meaningful after a tough year in college golf.
