Mike Babcock set to face Maple Leafs for first time since his 2019 exit

Sportsnet reports that the October 24 game in Edmonton was set to be Babcock’s first against the Maple Leafs since his 2019 exit. The Hockey News says the Oilers coach played down the reunion, saying, “Even the Beatles broke up. So you get on with it.” He was also set to coach against Jim Hiller, his former assistant who now leads Toronto.
