East Texas A&M upsets Oklahoma 68-64 on opening night
East Texas A&M's win was Division I's second-largest upset by spread in 30 years, ESPN Research found.
TLDR
Oklahoma closed as a 28.5-point favorite, but East Texas A&M, which went 11-21 last season, led by as many as 16 in the second half. Oklahoma rallied but never regained the lead; its last lead came seven minutes into the game. ESPN Research says only Eastern Illinois' win over Iowa as a 30.5-point underdog in 2022 was a bigger Division I upset by spread in the past 30 years.
