Falcons defensive tackle Gervon Dexter is signing a four-year, $78 million extension with $46.5 million guaranteed, Adam Schefter reported Sept. 30, citing Dexter’s agents Drew and Jason Rosenhaus.

Schefter reported that Atlanta traded for Dexter on Aug. 30, a month before the extension report. Ian Rapoport wrote that an extension had not specifically been part of the trade.

In a follow-up post, Schefter reported that Dexter ranked eighth in the NFL with a 20.5% quarterback pressure rate through three games with Atlanta. That ranking covered players with at least 50 pass-rush snaps.
