Portland Thorns clinch 2026 NWSL playoff spot with 1-0 win over North Carolina
The NWSL credits Marie Müller’s second-half strike at Providence Park for Portland’s narrow victory.
TLDR
Portland beat the North Carolina Courage 1-0 at Providence Park to secure a place in the 2026 NWSL playoffs, the NWSL announced. The league credited Marie Müller’s second-half goal with the difference but gave no goal minute in its post. @justwsports praised the strike as a “missile,” its characterization rather than a measured detail.
