How does a good or bad website affect your opinion of a new golf course?

I am a digital marketer as well as an avid golfer. I am a 7 hdcp, needless to say, I play a lot. When I look around at golf courses & country clubs, I see some good websites, really bad ones, and everything in between.

My question to all of the golfers out there - when looking for a new course to play, how does their website impact your impression of them as a whole, if at all?

Does it make you not want to play there? Do you just choose a different course because you're more certain you will enjoy yourself more, because they had a good website?
