Brewers drill roof plays, Rays focus on recovery ahead of World Series Game 3

Rays manager Kevin Cash said he had discussed the off-day plan with players before Game 1 and that they were comfortable taking the day off. He wanted them to come in for treatment and keep the day simple. The Rays had gone 3-for-20 with runners in scoring position through the first two games, according to Davidi. Infielder Richie Palacios said the team took Junior Caminero's encouragement during Game 2 positively and predicted it would help in the next couple of games.

Game 3 was scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. ET, with Robert Gasser set to start for Milwaukee against former teammate Freddy Peralta for Tampa Bay. A Brewers win would put them up 3-0; a Rays win would be their first of the series.
