Five-star Xavier Young reportedly commits to LSU with plan to reclassify to 2027

Five-star big man Xavier Young has reportedly committed to LSU with a plan to reclassify from 2028 to 2027. He said the coaching staff’s trust drew him to LSU and two years of college development motivated his move. Young said stronger competition would help prepare him for basketball beyond college. The reported commitment would make him Will Wade’s fourth in the 2027 class, alongside Reese Alston, King Gibson and Ahmad Hudson.
