NFL closes Paris NFL House ahead of street protests

The NFL closed its Paris NFL House on Saturday, Oct. 24, as the city braced for street protests. The Associated Press reported a heavy police presence and boarded-up storefronts. According to AP, the league notified fans of the closure through its OnePass app that morning, citing “potential accessibility issues.”

Saturday’s planned NFL House events included “French Athletes in Football” and “From the Field to the Community.” Separately, the Saints announced that their Saints House event had been postponed until Sunday, AP reported. The league had said Friday that its city-center pop-up shop would be closed Saturday, but fans could use an alternative shop at Stade de France in Saint-Denis.
