Seattle Mariners Hire Jason Kanzler to Replace Dan Wilson as Manager
Kanzler moves from the Cubs’ player development operation to a managerial job without prior experience managing affiliated baseball.
TLDR
Seattle has hired Jason Kanzler as its 22nd full-time field manager, replacing Dan Wilson. Kanzler, 36, came from the Cubs, where he had served as director of player development since January 2024, but has never managed affiliated baseball.
