NFL Network and ESPN report that the Chicago Bears plan to start Caleb Williams against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday, three games after a torn hamstring forced him out of the lineup.
He’s back: The #Bears are planning to start QB Caleb Williams on Sunday, sources tell NFL Network and ESPN. After a full week of practice, Williams was listed as questionable. But he took the starter reps and is ready to roll.
Williams has not played since Chicago's Sept. 20 game against Minnesota. He completed a full week of practice without a setback, participated fully and took the first-team reps. Coach Ben Johnson said Friday that the quarterback was “on track,” although the Bears officially listed him as questionable.
Chicago went 2-1 while Williams was sidelined. Case Keenum started the Week 3 win over Philadelphia, while Tyson Bagent went 1-1 in the next two games.
