Golf Digest reports J.J. Spaun won the DP World Tour's flagship event after being left off the Presidents Cup team, saying afterward that he played with a chip on his shoulder. The Athletic reports Spaun said conversations with Brandt Snedeker had led him to believe he would be selected. According to The Athletic, Snedeker said on September 22 that he had told players who didn't make the team to “go make me look like an idiot as quick as possible.”
