IndyCar announces 2027 schedule with Barcelona reportedly added

IndyCar announced its 2027 NTT IndyCar Series schedule on Oct. 23, 2026. Reporter Jeff Gluck wrote that the calendar has 17 races, down from 18 in 2026. He said Barcelona was added, while the D.C. street race and Nashville Superspeedway are off the schedule.

Reporter Bob Pockrass wrote that an IndyCar race at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is set for July 18, 2027, under a multiyear deal. Pockrass placed the track near Alex Palou's hometown. Gluck described Palou as a five-time champion and said the Barcelona event would be IndyCar's first race outside North America since a Brazil race in 2013.
