If you ski every year and haven’t done this yet, you’re missing a trick!
I’ve been on mountains long enough to be cynical about “festivals in resorts”. Most are DJs, overpriced drinks and vibes doing a lot of heavy lifting.
Altitude Comedy Festival is different and I say that as someone who’s been more than once and regularly convinces people to plan trips around it. It's also won LOADS of big awards.
It’s simple: ski all day, then proper comedy and stand-up at night. Not novelty acts, not randoms, actual World class comedians you recognise, in real venues, with crowds that want to be there rather than being funnelled in. The atmosphere is always spot on because everyone’s already had a great day on the mountain both onstage and off. Three shows a night and other shows on the mountains and during the days all week. It's such a laugh. What keeps pulling people back is that it hasn’t turned into a soulless brand exercise. It still feels like a ski trip first and a festival second, just with the bonus that your evenings are funnier than usual and you don't have to go to bed dreading the hangover you'll have the next day.
I’ve overheard enough bar chat over the years to know 2026 is lining up to be a big one, and judging by how quickly people book again, that won’t surprise anyone who’s been before.
Not a promo, just passing it on because this is one of those “why didn’t anyone tell me earlier?” or "I've been skiing for years and never heard of it" things that deserves to be shared.
It's truly one of the best comedy festivals in the world. Best Week Ever. Every year!
Pass it on
