Is The Pitt worth watching?

The reviews are crazy high and there seems to be a lot of hype for it. I tried hard to watch through S01E01 but I couldn't even make through a full episode. For me, it just seems like constant scripted punchline dialogue and lots of noise without much structure. Does it get much better, or is it more of the same and maybe not for me?
