Highsted's 'lost' Iron Age cemetery may be the third-largest known Deal-rite cemetery

Phys.org describes a skull found at a Highsted chalk quarry in 1955 as the first of some 26 burials. It says the 'lost' Iron Age cemetery has been reanalyzed more than 70 years after its finds went missing. The site may be the third-largest known Deal-rite cemetery, but the missing finds leave its place in that burial tradition uncertain.
