New megaraptoran dinosaur species identified from Isle of Wight fossil

A post announcing Invictibellatrix amberina calls it the first megaraptoran from Europe and places it in the Isle of Wight's Wessex Formation. New Scientist reports the braincase lay unstudied for about 100 years. The linked paper describes a new megaraptoran from the Lower Cretaceous and points to implications for theropod evolution and biogeography. The post says the genus name means “unconquered warrior” in the feminine form and that the species name refers to Amber.
