Radio galaxy shows evidence of four separate black-hole jet outbursts

Phys.org reports that astronomers have identified a radio galaxy whose central black hole appears to have launched jets on four separate occasions. Four pairs of radio hotspots point to the outbursts, with estimated ages spanning 4.5 to 20.5 million years. The galaxy may be the first example of a new class of radio galaxy.
