Mahalingam’s India Today interview, the institute says his team has collected 10,000-plus samples through the National Cancer Tissue Biobank and sequenced breast, pancreatic, paediatric leukaemia and colon cancers. Reported findings include a higher frequency of mutations in genes such as RECQL, plus inherited risk variants beyond BRCA. IIT Madras director V.
