Navy 'Yahoo' launch at Wallops reportedly followed a sea-skimming path
An on-site observer says the October 1 launch lifted off at 9:33 a.m.; NASA had not confirmed the vehicle's identity.
TLDR
An observer at NASA Wallops says the Navy's 'Yahoo' live-fire launch lifted off at 9:33 a.m. on October 1 and flew nearly at sea level. Its path reminded them of a GQM-163A Coyote target, but they said NASA had not confirmed the vehicle. The observer recorded liftoff and says they'll keep posting Wallops updates after moving to Florida, though this was their last launch there in person for a while.
