Models suggest even unrealistically cold oceans would not stop Thwaites glacier’s retreat

New Scientist reports that computer models suggest Thwaites glacier would keep retreating even with unrealistically cold oceans, while neighboring Pine Island glacier would begin to grow. Its article says a new study projects Thwaites will continue losing ice for at least the next 150 years, even under an impossible scenario of extremely cool oceans.
