Starliner plans put an uncrewed flight no earlier than December 2026 and a crewed flight no earlier than mid-2028

Spaceflight Now reports NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman said the uncrewed Starliner-1 flight is planned for no earlier than December 2026. Boeing’s John Mulholland put the earliest crewed Starliner-2 flight in mid-2028. The outlet also reports NASA is paying an additional $359 million for Starliner certification work and to help crew-rate ULA’s Vulcan rocket. NASA’s Dana Weigel said certification of redesigned thrusters accounts for the gap between flights.
