Category Labs unveils Quantum Cadence, a post-quantum blockchain consensus design

Category Labs announced Quantum Cadence on Oct. 27 as a post-quantum version of its consensus protocol. The design needs no quorum certificates, though validators still sign some votes for accountability; safety and liveness do not depend on those signatures. The company reports an early prototype on an internal test network and Cadence-like finalization in simulations, not production results.
