Investigational pancreatic cancer vaccine misses phase 2 disease-free survival endpoint

Nature Medicine says a phase 2 trial of an off-the-shelf peptide vaccine for patients with KRAS-mutated pancreatic cancer missed its primary disease-free survival endpoint. It says prespecified analyses found a significant disease-free survival result in the vaccine arm among patients with ctDNA-negative disease. Medical Xpress reports KRAS-targeted immune responses in 89 of 90 evaluated recipients, but no significant improvement in disease-free survival overall.
