Samsung to Begin Next-Gen (Gen 8) Display Production This year

Samsung Display is set to start production at its Gen 8 OLED factory, A6, in May 2026. The A6 factory will produce large panels for laptops and tablets, including Apple’s upcoming MacBook models. Samsung aims to ship around 2 million panels this year, with ambitious targets for an annual production capacity of 10 million 14.3-inch panels. The company is also looking to attract other PC makers with its Gen 8 panels.
