Favorite Gaming Memory Thread

Been exploring the Digg app and saw that there was a community for retro gaming. Figured I would start up a thread or two. How about everyone share a favorite retro memory.

One of mine is from Breath of Fire 2 for the SNES. This series was one of the first that got me into rpgs (the other being the Shining Force series on the Sega Genesis). I spent a lot of time with the first BoF game and received the second one as a gift. I was hooked. The game looked amazing. I loved the grind. I had no idea the translation wasn’t that great or that the balance was off. I just loved the game. And when I got to the place where I could build my own town, I thought this was the coolest thing ever!! The series still holds a special place in my heart to this day and I sometimes play patched/custom roms of the first two games.
