From the outside, you'd think this was your average, run-of-the-mill house, right?

Wrong.

This four-bed, two-bath home in Sacramento, CA, boasts some truly unique decor. According to its Redfin listing, the artwork throughout the house β€” which is going for $825,000 β€” was done entirely by the seller, using caulk, styrofoam, wood and paint.

Truly obsessed with what I assume (?) is the living room.

Thinking about how many hours in total this all must have taken.

Some truly amazing, totally confusing bathroom design going on here.

These artistic choices might not be to everyone's taste, but someone has clearly put a lot of time, effort and love into this house β€” and it makes me sad to think of them giving it away.

That said, maybe the best thing to do with a home this special is to pass it on for someone else to enjoy.

I toured this house during the open house. The work while wildly imaginative and visually had so much going on, his execution was a bit sloppy in areas. Also from the Sacramento Bee article, the artist is deceased. I wish I could have seen it fully kitted out with furniture and clearly filled with more art as there are empty permanent picture frames mounted on the walls all over the place. Its read as a one of a kind labor he did for his own amusement. Also from the Bee article, he was inspired by Gaudi and was a psychiatrist.

It looks like Antonio Gaudi in 1850's Sweden.
