Robert John May, III, a former South Carolina state lawmaker, pleaded guilty to distributing child sexual abuse material. The investigation, led by Homeland Security Investigations and the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office, revealed that May distributed over 479 videos of child sexual abuse via a Kik account. May faces up to 20 years in prison, a $250,000 fine, and mandatory registration as a sex offender.
