Calibre 9.0 E-Book Manager Released With New Bookshelf View
The popular open source ebook manager Calibre has a new version with a lot of new functions, like a new Bookshelf view, and also better integration with editing tools, better navigation, improvements for Kobo owners, etc.
Calibre 9.0, an open-source e-book management tool, introduces a new Bookshelf view, improved e-book editing, smoother Linux scrolling, and several formatting and output enhancements. The Bookshelf view presents libraries as shelves with book spines, offering a toggleable layout option. The e-book viewer now integrates tighter with editing tools, allowing direct editing from the viewer. Linux users benefit from momentum-based scrolling for the book list. Other improvements include better handling of cover images in EPUB files, TXT output replacing images with alt text, and updated firmware support for Kobo devices.
