DHS pausing TSA PreCheck, Global Entry programs amid funding lapse
The Department of Homeland Security is suspending frequent flier and quick-processing programs for travelers at airports and U.S. border crossings starting Sunday due to a funding lapse. The programs affected include the Transportation Security Administration's TSA PreCheck and U.S. Customs and Border Protection's Global Entry. The suspension will start at 6 a.m. ET Sunday. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem blamed congressional Democrats for the lack of funding, stating that it endangers national security and puts DHS personnel in a financial bind.
Starting tomorrow, heads up if you have any travel plans coming up.
