Coyotes or wolves
A 3-year-old female wolf, BEY03F, has been documented in Los Angeles County for the first time in over a century. Wearing a GPS collar, she traveled over 370 miles from Plumas County to the mountains north of Santa Clarita. State wildlife officials attribute her safe arrival to monitoring efforts and the Endangered Species Act. BEY03F is still seeking a mate and suitable habitat, and her journey highlights the growing wolf population in California.
