Is my 2008 Epilog outdated?

I use an Epilog 8000 system at work to engrave numbers/text on metal parts. It works fine for the most part. My biggest complaint is getting the focus right on round parts and not lose the edges. I'm curious if there would be a noticeable difference if we upgraded to a newer mach
