A place for actual indie games (under $1M budgets only)
Hey everyone,
I recently launched an indie games news site focused strictly on small-budget projects — anything under $1M in production cost. No “indie in spirit,” no publisher-backed marketing machines, no $10M productions being labeled indie for convenience. (Looking at you Expedition 33 (which is an amazing game but just not a real indie title imho))
There’s nothing wrong with bigger “indie-adjacent” titles. Some of them are excellent. But when a game has a multi-million dollar budget and a full studio behind it, it’s not operating on the same level as a solo dev or a tiny team working nights and weekends.
This site is for:
Solo developers
Micro teams
Truly small-budget projects
The goal is simple: bring visibility to developers who don’t have massive marketing budgets and who often get buried under larger releases claiming the same label.
I’ll be posting regular updates covering new discoveries, devlogs, demos, and small releases.
If you know a genuinely small indie game — especially from a solo dev — share it here.
No gatekeeping, no mods blocking passion projects. If it fits the criteria, I may feature it on the site.
Let’s give smaller developers the foreground they deserve.
IndieBunny's GameNews covers the latest in gaming, including the release of Soulflame's demo on Steam, Solvendra's expanded skill trees and gear upgrades, the Tabletop Tavern demo, ZedCity's zombie survival PBBG, Province Simulator's harsh survival quest, Warena's fast-paced RTS card battler, and Project S.U.N.D.I.A.L's beta playtest.
