My current setup - wicking system and NFT

Two ikea pax 236x75x66 cm wardrobes (and one of 50 width for third tank and service stuff) with two vertical systems - at the right side I have wicking system for herbs, on the left there is two separate nft circuits - at the bottom side strawberry with EC kept around 1.2 and at the top for determinate tomatoes (starting at the two bottom on the right) in few weeks with EC 2-3.

Automated as much as I had time for via esp32 and Home Assistant. I can set light schedules, six regulated nocuta fans schedules, measure temperature 5x in each chamber. I also take timelapse of the plants which is continuously updated in my home assistant.

A lot of plans for system improvements for some free time whenever I’ll have a time:

• add humidity sensor

• autofill with water

• put ph and ec from three tanks to home assistant

• auto adjust ph and ec in each tank, autorefill with purolyt

Currently i grow random strawberries that i got scammed in belief that they are some premium japanese, not knowing the genetics of strawberries (each seed is new roll of dice, so they aggresively tend to regress to small forest strawberries). I intend them to swap for best known local varieties of expected size when season starts next month.

The small strawberries are better than empty box and we are tasting few every other day.
