Shopify's blog just got hammered by Google, it lacked humanisation xD
Their organic traffic has cratered back to January 2022 levels. The kicker? They've actually increased their organic pages by 221% (around 3,000 new pages) during that same period. More content, less traffic. That's the opposite of what you want.
When you drill into the URLs with "/best/" in them, the classic AI listicle-style posts, the decline is even worse.
The takeaway: pumping out bulk AI-generated content isn't a growth strategy anymore. Google is actively punishing it. More pages ≠ better SEO or better visibility.
This is exactly why humanisation of AI content matters. The brands that will win aren't the ones publishing the most, they're the ones making sure every piece of content has genuine expertise, real editorial judgment, and a human fingerprint that search engines can't dismiss as filler.
Raw AI output at scale is now a liability, not an asset. Humanise it. Review it yourself add your flavour, fact check it. Run humanisation pipelines on it, make it different. What do you do?
