Hiked part 1/27 of the Pelgrims Path. This part is 17.3 kilometres long from Amsterdam to Amsterdamse Bos.
Pelgrims Path is a long distance trail in the Netherlands, it starts in Amsterdam and ends in Maastricht. Total length is 456 kilometres. Will do it with 2 friends and the goal is to do a part once a month.
Thought it would be nice to take you along this trail. There are some parts that are going through cities, but most parts will go through meadows, marshes, forests, polders, and eventually hills.
This blog post details the first part of the Pelgrims Path, a 17.3-kilometer hike from Amsterdam to Amsterdamse Bos. The route passes through the city center along the canals to Vondelpark and Amsterdamse Bos, with a duration of 4 hours and 24 minutes. The hike coincides with the Stille Omgang, an annual event in Amsterdam with origins in a Eucharistic miracle from 1345.
