When 78-year-old Charlie Hicks, a regular at Shrimp Basket in Pensacola, Florida, didn't show up for his usual meal, Chef Donell Stallworth went to check on him and found Hicks had fallen and couldn't move. Stallworth called 911, and Hicks was hospitalized for two months. The restaurant's staff and management have since rallied around Hicks, offering him free gumbo for life and helping him find nearby housing.
